Heritage Crafts Training Award
The Heritage Crafts Association held it's Spring Conference on the 24th March 2012 at the Victoria & Albert Museum, where Wendy was honoured to be a finalist in the Marsh Christain Heritiage Crafts Trainer Awards.
The Heritage Crafts Association is the advocacy body for traditional heritage crafts. Working in partnership with Government and key agencies, it provides a focus for craftspeople, groups, societies and guilds, as well as individuals who care about the loss of traditional crafts skills, and works towards a healthy and sustainable framework for the future.
Outstanding Training Provider of the Year 2011
Outstanding Training Provider of the Year 2011In November Wendy Shorter Interiors was name Outstanding Training Provider of the Year at the 2011 Proskills Awards sponsored by the Scottish Government. During the summer Proskills visited our centre to see our work and to verify our results. "I'm thrilled, delighted and very surprised to have won particularly as the other centres I was up against were very high calibre organisations".
Women In Furnishings Award 2010
Wendy Shorter - Women In Furnishings Award 2010Wendy Shorter was named 'Inspirational Woman of the Year' in the first ever Women In Furnishings Awards. Judges felt Wendy had not only established her own successful training school but had been instrumental in changing the face of training and qualification standards in the upholstery and soft furnishings sector.
