Quality and Excellence in Teaching is at the heart of our training. We are a multi awards winning training centre. In May 2013 we received the Craft Skills Awards for encouraging craft skills. In July 2012 all our tutors were awarded Certificates of Excellence by the Worshipful Company of Upholders and in November 2011 we were awarded Outstanding Training Provider of the Year at the 2011 Proskills Awards sponsored by the Scottish Government. Proskills are the Sector Skills Council for the Furniture and Furnishings Industries. So you can be sure that the training you receive at Wendy Shorter Interiors is the best.
Membership of the Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers and the display of it's Crest is an honour that is earned, not a badge that can be bought. When you see the Crest displayed you can be assured of the quality of the work produced and the expertise of the member. All our work is regularly assessed by independent practitioners of the crafts with many years experience.
